Mid-morning we met some girlfriends from my old book club at the Sacramento Zoo: Rebecca with her five-year-old twin boys, Janeane with her 21-month-old daughter, and Cathleen with her 12-week-old son. We had a great time and I enjoyed flashes of memories from my own early childhood visits to the zoo. We stayed three hours, which turned out to be a bit too long for the two exhausted toddlers.
We had a very good time too! Emma crashed before we even made it onto I5...and then she slept another couple hours once we got home.
