Our hosts left a generous gift of art supplies for Thomas and his sibs, so the boys got to work while we made a pancake breakfast.
Chris and three of the kiddos drove an hour to Wilmington to tour the decommissioned battleship North Carolina.

Meanwhile, Margaret was my right-hand girl and helped me take Thomas and David to the delightful Soundside Park in Surf City just seven minutes away. This playground with a nautical theme sits right on the ocean water.
Then we headed over to the New York Corner Deli for lunch which was delicious and fun.
We got in another visit to the beach before a simple dinner of spaghetti and meatballs at home.
