We enjoyed touring the small but very well arranged local museum showcasing the natural and important military history of the island.

After a second delicious lunch at the New York Corner Deli, we headed over to . . .
David held a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach and I didn't even faint and die.
Another Afternoon at the Beach
We kept finding seaweed full of clinging crabs. |
I became choked up while watching Thomas quietly standing alone as wave after wave washed in toward him. The whole power of the ocean washing toward him made me hearken back to the raw power of his entire body shutting down in PICU, him being "knocked down" by deadly complications again and again . . . but 17 months later, he is standing strong, albeit with many battle scars . . . including the latest results of his liver biopsy, which we received while on this vacation.

Little Boy taking on the world |
Joe found a good crab. |
David (4) crawled into our little beach tent and promptly fell asleep. |
When it was time to leave, Chris disassembled the tent. |
But David remained fast asleep! |
He was sleeping so hard, it took me a couple minutes to wake him! |
The day also included hide-and-seek outdoors, working on our family puzzle, playing Monopoly, Wordle (late to the game, we're newly obsessed), and Older Kid Movie Night.
