Cast Casted Off! (Day #66 Phase I)

Tuesday, Day #66 Phase I of Reopening

We request continued prayers for my husband's mother D. She is recovering, now in a long-term, acute care facility, from COVID-19 and hasn't been home in seven weeks.

I did my exercise on a drizzly morning, so today my only "entourage" was this old gal, whom I'm proud to say I lapped repeatedly.

Just today we found out that Joseph's First Holy Communion is "on" and in only two weeks! I spent the day absolutely flying into action, trying to plan the Big Event.

This is the last photo of David with his cast on! He insisted on wearing this jaunty hat.

To prepare for the cast removal, we watched this video repeatedly. David did not cry, but just plugged his ears during the loud sound: he did great!

The new x ray showed his now-healed fracture quite clearly: this was confirmation for us since toddler fractures often do not show up until the calcium deposits over weeks. We are told David will regain mobility over he week. His knee and ankle are quite sore from not being moved for a month. Boy, did he love soaking and playing in the bathtub for the first time in four weeks!
