Discovering the Dictionary

After Mama got out a dictionary to look up the entry for 'sarcasm' to aid a child who needed some motherly correction . . .

. . . Mary (5) discovered The Dictionary.

Her breakfast came to a complete halt because looking up the definition of words, beautiful words, is way more interesting even than one's favorite morning eggs on toast. (After ten minutes she had to be told to put away the dictionary in order to eat.)

I'd say those are well-ordered priorities!
