John and Mary were playing swords (with sticks) outdoors when John shouted, "I am God!"
"You are what?"
"I am God!"
"Um, I don't think so. What do you mean, that you're God?"
"That is what sword fighters say before they start fighting. 'I am God!'"
"Oh, honey, you mean en garde! That is a French phrase. It means, 'be on guard, be ready!'"
that's great... I'm glad he was misunderstanding... lol
ReplyDeleteYou've been doing a great job clearing up these little misconceptions lately!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! So funny! I hope he wasn't too embarrassed to be mistaken!
ReplyDeleteSarah Faith: No, he didn't seem embarrassed. I taught him how to say 'en garde' and he promptly got it, using a really hard R: 'en garrrrrrde!'
