You know you have kids when you find a child's sock on the kitchen floor (an obvious place to leave a sock in the first place) and you pick it up to toss it in the laundry hamper, only to discover it is all lumpy inside: it is filled with peanuts, raisins, and a
jack.
And hopefully a clean sock...not one that just came off of little feet.

Oh which one of your kids does that?! My Christina is the hoarder!! The funny things I've found. Oh, and a quick tip - never throw out a grocery bag (paper or plastic) until you have DOUBLE CHECKED that it's empty! You never know what you might be throwing out. :)
ReplyDeleteWait...what? I didn't know you were at my house this morning!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is outrageously familiar!!!!
kid's socks make the best treasure bags. Surely you know this! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was a used sock, flung off a little boy's foot upon coming home from Mass.
ReplyDeleteAnd what was funny too was that when I'd swept the floor late at night, I'd been mystified where the mess of raisins and nuts went that I had watched Mary dump on the floor. Weird, what a mystery. Then I found them the next morning inside the sock.
My kids immediately take their socks off upon arrival home, and socks in the kitchen are a daily sight. Sigh.
