She now says "MINE!"
She says 62 words and makes 30 signs. It was very interesting to watch this month how her word acquisition slowed down dramatically (an increase of only 12 words and zero signs) and, for a couple of weeks, I don't know that I wrote down any new words. Meanwhile, the way she talked took on a new manner, and her babbling sounded like a little child simply speaking another language I don't know. So clearly her brain was working on some other aspect of language acquisition for a couple of weeks. Now she seems back to picking up words, such as saying this morning "toast."
We are loving the blooming personality of our little girl--although with that heft, the fat rolls, and those sturdy legs, one can hardly call her "little"!
it's amazing I can even say this, after those photos, but I really do think she is thinning out! Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteSarah: You're right! She has been stalled out at 25 pounds for at least four months and I presume she's growing taller (but haven't been checking). Anyway, she looks happy and healthy enough!
ReplyDelete62 words!!! I am amazed! I'm not into baby comparison much but Andrew has several gestures, shakes head for no & yes and that's IT. My most recent girl was very verbal from a young age and could have conversations at 2, and at 3 talks like her 5 yr old sister!
