I am grateful.
I am grateful for washers and driers, that I don't have to access coin-operated machines off site, that I have strong machines in my home that can wash and dry unceasingly all day.
I am grateful for being able to pick up a telephone and call a doctor on call.
I am grateful for a clean and well-staffed hospital emergency room a half mile from my house.
I am grateful for health insurance.
I am grateful for strong modern medicines, even though it looks like we probably won't need them at this point.
I am grateful for bleach, lots of bleach.
I am grateful that I don't work outside the home so I can go into 'viral combat mode' and operate on very little sleep for days without the added stress of having an employer.
I am grateful for such a helpful husband, even when he's sick too.
I am grateful for a clean water supply and a whole variety of electrolyte-replacing drinks.
Especially in light of the current destruction in Haiti splashed across our television screens, I'm so aware that the kind of gastroenteritis sweeping through our house is what actually kills people. And while at some moments we might feel that we wish we were dead, we really have it pretty easy. Thank God. I am grateful.
Boo and yuck! So sorry all of you are down with yet another sickness. Keeping everyone in our prayers for a speedy recovery and praying for clean bills of health for all of you for many months to come! {{{Hugs}}}
