Mary decided she wanted to try to reach the ceiling fan-and-light in the kitchen and the best way to get up there was to climb the kitchen table. Every time I'd tell her, "No, ma'am. No climbing the table." She'd climb down to the chair, smile at me, then climb back up. So after a few rounds of this, I put her on the ground and she threw what is becoming a more common tantrum involving arching her back and trying to smash her head into the ground while she screams.
Oh boy...I LOVE this. :)
ReplyDelete(I'm sorry...I know it distresses you, but this is what I've been living with the past 3+ years with Emma!!!)
She's a female Theo. :-)
ReplyDeleteJaneane: Oh, it's not distressing me too much! Mostly I think it's humorous, even though I know Mary will have more injuries than has Mr. Cautious. I'm sure at times I'll wish Mary was more like her brother in this regard!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...I'm SO expecting Emma to have some broken bones in her future. In fact, I'm surprised she hasn't had any already! Her shins, however, are pretty much perma-bruised from everything she gets into. But she comes by it honestly...I ALWAYS had skinned knees.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I gasped as soon as I saw the picture!! Surely she keeps her Guardian Angel(s) busy, busy!! LOL
