Feast of St. Nicholas 2009
Today was the feast day of St. Nicholas, and I'd been telling John the story of the early Christian bishop over the last days. Mama forgot to tell John and his cousins to leave out their shoes, so St. Nick gifts were left at the dining table.

Adorable kids! And the cake looks yummy, too! By the way, have you tried cake flour when baking cakes? It really helps, and be sure not to over mix because it toughens the gluten in the wheat.
