Groovin' Tunes, Man!

John trying out my new wireless headphones to use while on the treadmill (thanks, honey!):

John continues trying nibbles of new foods, which is fun for all of us. He makes a distinct "sign" (lip smacking) when he wants to eat solids.

I sure have had some lovely mama moments lately. Twice today John brought me a book when I was in my glider trying to read my own book, so I pulled him up onto my lap and read his instead. John loves blowing raspberries on my tummy (I thought parents were supposed to be the ones blowing raspberries on their babies tummies!). He likes enticing me to chase him: he'll glance over his shoulder in mock terror, while exploding with giggles, then walk or crawl away, but stop so I can "catch him" before he escapes and flees again. Today John truly noticed rain for the first time and was enthralled to watch it fall and puddle on the deck. Since putting up our nativity set a week ago, I have daily shown John the various animals and people, letting him hold each one and telling him the animal sounds: this causes great delight and John will point to the nativity set on the mantle throughout the day, asking to see the pieces. And this morning John spent much of the time on my lap, at his desire, while we watched the FSSP priests say the Rorate Caeli Mass in the extraordinary rite on EWTN. Now if only John would sit on my lap for longer than five minutes at Mass in person!
