Today I visited my beloved Natural Foods Warehouse (healthy foods at really low prices) where I stocked up on various foods to try offering to John. We arrived home at lunch time and promptly had great success when John enthusiastically ate three-quarters of an apple cereal bar and one-third of a chicken nugget!
For fruity snack bars, I bought Earth's Best Sunny Days (apple), Barbara's Fig Bars, and Health Valley cereal bars (raspberry).
For cookies, I bought Earth's Best Crunchin' Grahams (apple cinnamon).
For crackers, I bought Annie's Cheddar Bunnies, Pirate's Booty, and Suzie's Whole Grain Puffed Multigrain Thin Cakes.
For pasta, I bought several varieties of Annie's macaroni and cheese (which are a favorite of mine already).
For "nuggets," I bought Dominex Eggplant Parm Bites, Alexia Mushroom Bites, Alexia Potato Nuggets, and Applegate Farms Chicken Nuggets.
Golly, I didn't realize how much I had purchased! Well, if I'm going to offer the little bugger pre-packaged foods, at least these are lacking or almost entirely lacking in hydrogenated oils and trans fats, contain some whole grains, and use real sugar or cane or fruit juice as sweeteners instead of high fructose corn syrup. Let the feasting (or nibbling) begin!
Those Sunny Days fruit & cereal bars are a real favorite in our household...
