John now likes to take his toys with him. Even when he is crawling or pulling up, if he wants to keep a toy with him, he'll have a toy in one or both hands. This makes some of his more athletic endeavors awkward.
Today John tried crawling along the bottom shelf of the sofa table for the first time.

In an unrelated note, I'd like to recommend Bob's Red Mill 10-Grain Hot Cereal. This is the first hot cereal I've ever liked, as most are mucilaginous. As those close to me know, anything runny or slimy is a "no go" in my world. The last two mornings I've eaten a big bowl of cereal (all of 200 calories!) with some raisins and it has kept me feeling full till noon, when normally I've had a snack and am hungry for lunch by 11:30 a.m.
