Moments from Our Day

Here is John smiling a goofy way:
Having fun times with a ball:

This was the first time John crawled confidently from the carpet onto the wooden floor. He crawled toward me at my desk, then stopped at the armoire. He pulled open the drawer that holds my table linens, which is what we see here:

Then he thought he was stuck underneath the drawer, so I repeatedly showed him how to close it. He finally closed it, then keeled over on his side and bonked his head on the wood, poor punkin'.
I did not catch on film today when I introduced John to the garden hose. I was watering my hydrangea, so set him on the grass. I don't think John has ever sat on the grass, so he was immobile with awe. Then I brought him the hose and let him watch it gently watering the grass. He gingerly reached out to try to "catch" the flow of water and it sprayed his face a bit. Surprise! He was very intrigued but nervous to stick his hand in the water again. I enjoyed watching him try again several times with the water.
