What a Feast!

Some days I forget to even offer John any food. Tonight I went all out! I boiled carrot sticks till they were very soft, but still retaining their stick shape. He seemed to love those best. I also gave him some noodles with a bit of olive oil cut into strips and some Cheerios (cut in half because I worry).

John dove right into his feast like a pro, eating carrot sticks two at a time. Judging by how much food I found in his clothing, in his chair, and on the floor, I'm not sure how much he actually swallowed . . . but I know he swallowed some! John continues to be enthusiastic about practicing drinking out of his big boy cup.
After dinner, we went for a short walk in the very humid heat (86 degrees, 59% humidity). I finally bought some exercise clothing. They were 50% off at Kohl's, so I scored big on two capri shorts and two tee-shirts. This beats the maternity sweatpants and tee-shirts I've been wearing for eight months during exercise!

You can see how much our mailbox planting has grown since we planted it almost eight weeks ago. As Chris said, "Our plants have grown almost as fast as our baby boy!"
