It is so sad for me that John is now at an age when I can't keep him safe all the time if I'm going to let him learn his gross motor skills. This morning I put him in his crib "to be safe" but he pulled up, then fell backward into the corner and hit his head. So after calming him, I brought him into the bathroom with me, setting him on the floor because he can't fall down from the ground, right? Well, he managed to roll over from the crawling position to his back, hitting his head on the tile. Then there were the several times today he fell from pulling up on the outside of his Exersaucer.
Here we see John playing with Daddy after work (his nose and cheeks particularly red from his cold):
Tonight at dinner I offered John a whole, cold carrot because I've heard that it feels good for a teething baby. Of course, we were there the whole time for safety and do not expect that John can bite off any shards yet anyway.
What's up, Doc?
Ah yes...hard knock, bumps, and bruises! Sounds like John will be an active baby too, so prepare yourself for some owies and tears (both of yours!) Good luck! :)
