Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my dear husband Chris! John and I gave him a holy card with a parent's prayer written on the back of it, a father's book of prayers, and a personalized 12-month calendar of photos of John which I had made for him at Shutterfly.com.

After a special Father's Day breakfast of homemade coffee cake, fresh fruit, eggs, and bacon, we went to Mass, then visited with two couples of friends who had attended our parish today instead of their own. Then we were off to Chris' parents for a cook-out. Here we see Uncle Tim and Cousin Anne with John:

To round out Father's Day, we arrived home in the evening to discover that our upstairs air conditioner seems to be on the fritz. It is very hot up here!
