John's First Baseball Cap
On this brilliantly sunny Wednesday morning, John and I went for a neighborhood walk and, for the first time, I put him in a sun hat instead of a warm, winter hat. As much as I don't prefer baseball caps, especially with logos on the front, I must admit that he looked darned cute wearing one.
John spent most of the walk examining his left hand instead of enjoying the neighborhood scenery.

Here is an idea. ... you should take him down to the day care center at the end of the street and spread out a blanket on the grass just outside the chain-linked barbed-wire fencing and have a picnic. All the bedazzled children locked inside the fence would gaze upon you in confused wonderment. "Why is that baby with its mommy during the day time."
ReplyDeleteHe is so precious! I love the baseball hat! I bet you all really enjoyed your walk today with the great, springtime weather!
ReplyDeleteI am about to take Miss Sophia out right now!

i am glad you enjoy dressing a boy so much. most people find it isn't as fun as dressing girls. not as many cute options. i got no gifts of boy clothes for soren (well ok maybe 1 or 2 things) but for miriam i was pulling tags off things every day for 2 years.
ReplyDeletei really like boy stuff that is plain and makes them look like little men. hold the duckies and trucks please. lol.
I agree about prefering plain clothes that make baby boys look like little men. Until now, I've been dressing John almost solely in gifts and hand-me-downs. At this recent consignment sale, I got to buy many more "big boy" outfits: two pairs of tan pants, one pair of navy pants, many plaid buttoned shirts, plain polo shirts, two striped sweaters, several plaid, seersucker overalls.
