Now when John finds himself awake in his bassinet, instead of simply sweeping his face side to side against the mattress, he pushes up on his arms and peeks over the edge to look for me. It's quite endearing.
Note photo above: When John is lying prostrate in his bassinet, he only has about two inches remaining on either end!
i remember when miriam used to do that (in the very same bassinet!). Every morning around the same time we would not hear a peep but rather see a little head pop up and start looking around! it is really so cute when they do that. christina has just started doing that too. before, she would just lay awake with her cheek on the mattress and her eyes open.
ReplyDeleteso what are you planning to do when he doesn't fit anymore? move a crib to your room or move him out?
Right now, John only naps in his bassinet, then sleeps the overnight in the master bed with me. When John doesn't fit his bassinet anymore, I think he'll just nap and sleep overnight in the bed. We have a safety rail on the bed and have taken other safety measures.
