76 days in the hospital: 63 in PICU, 13 in the Oncology ward

Day 76: Urgent Prayers, Please

Thomas's hemoglobin has been steady at 8.5 for many weeks. Once we saw bloody output tonight, his HGB was 7 and then 6.7 two hours later. It is 1:00 a.m. and Thomas is heading for an emergency CT scan to check for internal bleeding. He is awake and conscious this time around, so he says he is "worried."

CT Looks "Pretty Good"

More details to come . . .  but the CT scan looks "pretty good!" They can see small loculations of fluid, like we saw before and knew are there remaining from so many surgeries. There was not seen an active bleed. It seems like an old clot and pocket of fluid broke free. What is draining now is dark like old blood but mixed with thin fluid.  He is getting a transfusion to bring up his HGB.

Thanks be to God... and thanks for all the late night prayers.
