The children wanted to swim in the pool first, so that is how we began our day.
Light beach reading |
You know you're a melancholic when . . . a book on Chinese martyrs is what you choose for your beach reading and you're really excited about it.
Three-year-old pushing the one-year-old means Mama gets to sit down on a bench. |
Our mid-day was spent quietly eating lunch, some kids napping, Mama going grocery shopping, our supervising a repair man at the condo, and the children going to the playground.
Mary is ever up! She climbed this structure like some jungle child ascending a palm tree, and then she lay down across the top beam like a jungle cat. |
Joseph at 15 months old |
Before dinner, we took an excursion down to the beach again, although it turned out to be a bit too windy and brisk. This was Joseph's first time on the sand and in the water, and that child loved it.
I was really having fun in the water! And that is about as deep of water as I ever want to be in. |
Joseph was stalking that seagull in the background. |
We found not one, not two, but three jellyfish! It was so exciting.
We had four shivering children when we bundled them up for the walk back to the condo. They were very happy for warm showers and warm dinner!
