Saturday offered us humorous bookends of general examples of girl versus boy natures.
You can imagine my startle when I walked into the kitchen and found Baby Joseph all alone with a crown of beads on his head. |
It was the work of a little girl, dressing up the two of them! |
Later I heard loud smacking sounds, which investigation revealed to be John having Daddy's permission to smash-to-oblivion two cardboard boxes with a stick-hammer. |
I think breaking things is little boys' first step to learning how to build things! |
Spiritual Tip of the Day
John and I were having a conversation about how receiving the Eucharist strengthens one spiritually, which is why frequent reception is ideal. Apparently my boy who eats only white foods has been listening to my information (some would call it "nagging") about macronutrients because he replied: "The Eucharist is like protein for our souls! It makes us really strong!"
And there you have it folks: I think I will forever be thinking in Mass, "The Eucharist is like protein for our souls."
Boy/Girl differences always crack me up. Like last night, the kids and I did Shrinky Dinks. When I pulled them out of the oven, Emma started talking about all the beautiful jewelry she was going to make; Jamie wanted to know if we were going to eat them. ;)
