Unexpectedly Fun Day

What an unexpectedly fun day! We woke up with no plans, but John ended up going on his first "free reign" neighborhood walk, being visited by Uncle Conrad and Aunt Arlene, and then going to visit the trolley with his Daddy!

Chris' Uncle Conrad and Aunt Arlene own an RV and travel up and down the Eastern seaboard throughout the year. We found out this morning that they had parked near Charlotte last night, so they stopped in to join us for lunch. John was thoroughly impressed by their RV and kept shouting, "truck!"
After they went on their way, Chris decided to take John to ride the trolley again while I did some errands by myself (what luxury! what efficiency!). The boys rode the trolley downtown, where they got off to toodle around. They discovered these wonderful fountains. Can you tell by the photo that Mama (with her fear of water) was not with them?
They visited a hotel, ran around the atrium, rode the elevator to the twentieth floor to see a view of the city, and watched construction equipment and a helicopter. John wore his "toot toot hat" all afternoon.
On the ride home, John crashed out:
Then Chris picked me up to join the boys for dinner. Refreshed by nap and food, John clapped to a little John Denver tune:

  2. Rebecca: What a coincidence! I was at Babies R Us one day and decided finally to buy an umbrella stroller because they were so cheap ($15 or something). But all the colors were atrotious (to me) and I thought the flourescent green was the best of them.

  3. I believe that fountain picture to be posed specifically for you by a loving husband who knows your fears and enjoys poking fun :D
