On Saturday at the train museum, John learned how to say "toot toot!" which he's been saying enthusiastically ever since. He says it in such an endearing way, I ran for my camera this morning when he was peering at his reflection (in the oven) while wearing his "hat for boys who ride trains" (as we call it) and saying "toot toot!" repeatedly. Of course, as soon as the camera was rolling, he went silent. Once I put the camera away, John looked at me and said, "toot toot!" with a smile.
In domestic success, we spent our Labor Day puttering around the house. Now we can park both vehicles in our garage! As a treat, we went to Baskin-Robbins around the corner to get John an ice cream cone, as he's been asking me to tell him the story of "the cone" daily ever since he had his first cone at Breuster's.
