You know you're a parent of a solitary child when you post
five photos to represent something as simple as a stack of blocks. Anyway, we discovered this morning when we unpacked John's blocks that he now knows how to stack. It is surprising how long it takes to learn such a seemingly simple motor skill. Here is a photo of John with a normal expression:

Chris' mom is visiting us this week and helping me tremendously with unpacking. As a military wife who moved many times when her five boys were small, she knows all about unpacking!

Funny, I have some blocks photos I'm planning on posting this week too. Only with Emma, she likes to build towers, then yell, "OH NO...the tower falls!" and knocks them down.

Shelly: I think I got my blocks online at Lehman's (which is mainly a cooking catalogue and sells a lot of old fashioned stuff).
