Monday 7/7 in California

On Monday morning, I met friend Tish for breakfast at a great hole-in-the-wall Mexican cafe where we like to order the breakfast burritos. Then we drove to our nearby church where I met in person a woman, Arlette, whom I know from a Catholic ladies' listserv in which I participate. We had fun chatting while her youngest (a teenager) helped watch out for my firstborn on the playground.

In the late afternoon, we met my dad in Davis to have an ice cream at Baskin Robbins and walk around downtown. There are Baskin Robbins ice creameries in the South, but they are few and far between, so I really get to enjoy my favorite chocolate-and-peanut-butter only when I visit home.

As of today, I am halfway through this pregnancy! On one hand, nine months seems so short, but on the other hand, it is agonizingly long! Right now, I am feeling like this has been a very long 20 weeks (although not because of particular physical misery or anything) and that I have a long way to go. Click here to see how the baby should be growing right now. I have been feeling him or her move for more than a week now!
