Topsail Island Travelogue Day 1

Tuesday April 19, 2022

After an exceptionally busy Holy Week--navigating through the busy-ness of the Holy Triduum, celebrating Easter day with all its "mom work," and staying with Thomas at the children's hospital for his liver biopsy until Monday at 8:00 p.m.--then, as if by mother's magic (and, admittedly, sometimes a raised voice and ugly countenance), on Tuesday morning, we packed up eight folks so we could drive four hours to the beach for vacation. The timing was tough, but when is life a breeze?

Some lovely friends and former neighbors lent us their exquisite beach home on Topsail Island for the week. Our gratitude runs deep.

Our first evening was spent unpacking, going out for pizza, and picking up our big, pre-arranged grocery order.

Topsail Island in April . . . we enjoyed sunny weather in the 70s all week with no crowds at all!
