Friday marked the first anniversary of my stepfather Neil's passing away. A whole lot of sorrowful "firsts" happen during that first year, and now here we are.
Right after breakfast, we went to visit his and my mother's grave, which we cleaned up and decorated with flowers before saying some family prayers. There is much more that could be said, but it is rather a quiet, meditative subject.
