This is the time of year when the children spend their afternoons playing in crisp, dry leaf piles . . .
. . . and warming up with tea, cookies, and stories read aloud.
More playing in leaves, tying up willing siblings, and climbing trees . . .
. . . more tea and warm baked goods.
It is a lovely time of year, a calm before the focused energy of Advent and Christmas upcoming!
Goodness, that does look very relaxing! By comparison my kids are in nordic ski lessons and we have already had a crazy ice storm. Leaves were the things of September!
ReplyDeleteChristine: Alaska is so different!
ReplyDeleteI don't see how I'd ever get to your area of the US but it really looks lovely and temperate!
ReplyDeleteThat looks lovely. I'm so ridiculously awful about getting my kids outside. The neverending afternoon activities dont help either.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful mom you are!
