The Latin Choir Sings a Mass

John sang in the choir, Margaret didn't want to miss a photo with him

The 2013 season of the Charlotte Children's Latin Choir will be coming to a close in the next month. Today they enjoyed giving glory to God through their first performance: Those children in the 90-person choir who are members of our parish (about 25-30 of them) sang the Mass. They sang the Missa Di'Angelis Mass (Kyrie, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei), Ubi Caritas as the communion hymn, and the Salve Regina after Mass. They sounded absolutely lovely and the choir director reports they couldn't have behaved better--which was particularly notable because we showed up and it was a surprise solemn high Mass (priest, deacon, subdeacon), which lasts more than an hour and a half.

It was a joy for me to attend!
