Turns out that the three-year-old can push the stroller now!
When Chris is traveling for business, it is important for my mental well being that I get the children asleep early each evening. Therefore, I do things like take us outdoors, walk around the neighborhood, and send them on a lot of races: "Here children, see this long grassy area? Run to the other end, and run back! And one more time for fun!"
Tired from all the running?
I don't know what pod people replaced my children on this neighborhood walk, but John repeatedly asked sweetly to hold Mary's hand and Mary actually said 'yes.'
Jealous! We had two amazing days in the 60s last week, then two days of SNOW. We've been fortunate since we didn't really have any lasting snow accumulation this winter, but it was a cruel joke after days of open windows and short sleeves! Today it's supposed to be sunny and 50s, so maybe this is spring for real!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet siblings (I know, it's not always like that, but still...)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are lovely!! What is the pretty yellow plant (vine?) around your mailbox?
ReplyDeleteEnid: Most of these photos are from my neighborhood, not my own property. That yellow vine is Carolina jessamine. I've wanted one for a few years now and actually just today bought two to grow along and cover the low fence at the top of our driveway. I am so excited! I think Carolina jessamine are so cheerful!
ReplyDeleteKatherine, thanks! We go back and forth between planting annuals at our mailbox and leaving it empty; right now there are some lovely purple-flowered weeds that have sprouted in that area. We have a couple of other places in our yard where something as cheery as Carolina jessamine would look fantastic. I do love spring in the south!

ReplyDeleteJamie: I am SUCH a dork, I don't even know what you mean by 'tagged in a meme on your blog.'
