Every few weeks, I take the three children on a walk to test if Margaret will yet tolerate the stroller without screaming the entire time.
My conclusions from yesterday's test:
Yes, Margaret still screams the entire time she is in a stroller.
And, yes, Margaret still screams the entire time she is in a carseat.
And that is why I am trying to live like a hermit at home four months and counting!
Have you started back carrying yet? Maybe that'll be your ticket out! Poor mama and baby!
ReplyDeleteCourtney: Yes, I began the back carry in the Ergo about a month ago. However, I think Margaret is really bothered by the summer heat and humidity. When I take walks with her in a carrier, she becomes soaked with sweat and flushed plus she's screaming. So, I'm interpreting that the heat against my body is just too much right now (90-100 degrees). Fall will be good, with cooler temps and an older baby!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait! I still front carry for walks (back carry at home and naps) and it's been miserable this summer! Baby Brother likes the stroller now for shorter walks, but my 3yo won't always ride his bike, so we trade off!
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you. I found in my friends car when Malcolm is directly next to another child, he cries less. I may squeeze him into the back row of the van (between two kids) to test this further.
ReplyDeleteJessica: I don't know how you're managing, since you have an active schedule out and about with the older children! I can still be a hermit at home.
ReplyDeleteWe have the bigger kids in the third row, with Margaret in the second row next to an empty seat. Whenever we go somewhere as a family, I sit in the second row next to Margaret, which helps a little bit (but obviously not too much!).
