John Knows His Prayers

John (three years, three months) is shy, a perfectionist, and not a ham, so he doesn't desire to perform his latest accomplishments. In the past couple of months, we've noticed him mouthing or whispering family prayers with us sometimes, but he didn't want to participate any more vocally, lest he couldn't say them perfectly. Last night at our family Rosary, John announced, "I want to talk." Then he audibly joined in with the beginning of our prayers and revealed that he knows them almost entirely and perfectly!

To back up, at the conclusion of dinner he had audibly said grace after meals. During our rosary, he then said the beginning of the creed, the whole Our Father, and the whole Hail Mary. It was so special for us to hear! I almost cried.
