Happy Saint Valentine's Day!
Today is one of the many Feast Days (others being Christmas, Saint Patrick's Day, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Easter, & All Hallows' Eve) of the Roman Catholic Liturgical Calendar that many in the secular world join us in celebration. We imagine the Church is flattered.
Chris bought me roses, a gift, and a card. I made Valentine's for my husband and children, which I scattered on the breakfast table. I wrote on each a reason why I loved that person.
After Mass, we had a fun breakfast at home, which included toast made from apple fritter bread (from the grocery store bakery) that I cut into hearts using a cookie cutter.
Then we did a fun project of making
Valentine's Dots.
John was a very good helper and followed directions.
The candies were so delicious! Despite her funny expression, Mary agreed they were wonderful!
