Catching Up: Sunday in Atlanta

On Sunday we scattered to the four winds. I took Mary with me to the 8:30 Mass at Chris' parents' church, Chris went to the 11:30 at our former parish an hour away, and Chris' parents and the grandchildren went to the 11:30 at their own parish. Afterward, I joined the gang for lunch at a restaurant while Chris went to Hodges' house for lunch. Finally, the kids and I drove an hour in another direction (Atlanta is so sprawling!), where Chris met us at the children's godparents' home. Each Sunday, it seems, they open their home to friends for wonderful snacks, homemade cake, games, and visiting. There were about 14 adults and seven children there that day--a wonderful after-Mass get-together straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting!

The children's dear godmother, Loretta.

The children's godfather, Scott.

Big eyes!
