Catching Up: Saturday in Atlanta

On Saturday I was much relieved to have Chris rejoin us. Chris and Pop-pops escorted four of the children, John included, to ride the gondola up Stone Mountain while Mary and I visited a new Catholic bookstore in town. For my local friends and family, I'd like to recommend Two Hearts Gifts and Books in Roswell, Georgia, which has now been open for a year. The collection of inventory is superior! (I have ever found only one other Catholic bookstore this wonderful and it is in California.) The extremely knowledgeable owners, orthodox books, and stunning artwork is worth driving across the city (or 250 miles, as I plan to drive back!).

John was run ragged trying to keep up with his bigger cousins and not getting regular naps. Every time we got in the car, he fell asleep quickly, as he did here on our way to dinner with the Mills family. (The two husbands and the children stayed at the house for delicious pizza while we wives and Baby Mary went out for a girls' dinner.)

It was really easy to get John to fall asleep at the end of each night because he was so tired, he all but passed out!

  1. Oh funny. I see what you mean about that photo of John in comparison to the one I posted of Emma!

    So cute!
