Mailbox Surprise

I was quite bewildered yesterday when I found in the mailbox a large manila envelope from our parish elementary school. I became tearful when I opened the envelope to find that the school's second grade class students had made cards congratulating Mary on her baptism! I've got to imagine that this was a project to help the eight-year-olds (about to receive their own First Communion) learn the value and importance of the sacraments. I assume that the church assigned to the children various babies who were baptized at our parish within the last year--Mary being one of them, six months ago. The cards are extremely sweet and I look forward to writing a thank you note to the students.
