Mother's Day "Eve"
Today was a really enjoyable day! I started my day very bright and early praying at a local abortion clinic, which is always a moving experience that re-sets my priorities. Then I came home so our family could visit the garage sales in our neighborhood, which was hosting sales for the entire subdivision. We bought so much stuff for a total of $20! We found three big items for the new play room: a Play Hut tent ($2) and crawling tube ($2) and an art easel (blackboard on one side and whiteboard on the other--$3). I also bought many pieces of clothing (mostly for Mary): boutique brands that I was getting for fifty cents and one dollar apiece! For those who know ridiculously expensive baby brands, you'll know that I made a real find of a pair of nearly new Pedipeds for only $1.

In the above (otherwise weird) photo you can see pretty clearly John's fat lip from when he tripped and busted it open today, right where he bit open his lip about a week ago! Poor guy.
The artist can sense his muse so much better when wearing only a diaper.
Rather spontaneously we decided to celebrate Mother's Day early by going out for dinner and trying to avoid the Sunday crowds. It was still pretty darn crowded, but we had a lovely time. With a "little bit" of Daddy's help, John made me a felt Mother's Day card. Chris surprised me with an extremely touching card and a new camera.
