Laughing in Booster Seat

Coming home from the grocery store is always such chaos, isn't it? It is for me. Arrive home. Unload all the groceries while leaving kids strapped in car seats. Unload John, change his diaper, get him involved in something. Unload Mary, change her diaper, nurse her, then hope to be able to plunk her down somewhere. Meanwhile, frozen things are becoming unfrozen on the kitchen table.

Today I tried putting Mary in the booster seat for one of the first times and she really liked her new perspective on the room. She immediately learned the game of throwing her toys onto the ground over and over again, in hopes of my handing them back to her. One of the blessings of having two children now is that my two-year-old very helpfully entertained Mary while I put away the groceries, when normally I'd be holding Mary on one hip while I put away groceries one-handed or she'd be in the Pack N Play wailing.

John is just starting to yank toys from Mary, so we're working on teaching--if not so much sharing--that he may not yank toys.

  1. I am totally laughing. "Hand it baaaaack" (sing-songy I'm-on-camera-voice)... "Must turn of video camera for discipline". Too funny :)
