You know your toddler is tired when he falls asleep in the grocery cart and remains asleep for the entire shopping trip and back through the bumpy parking lot back to the van.
And, yes, I know it's creepy that his face is on the germ-infested grocery cart. I disinfected it with a wipe and pulled up John's hood to act as a pillow. Sometimes a mom just have to give up and cut corners for her own sanity. It took me about two hours from finishing breakfast to get us ready and pile two kids into the car, by which time John was ready for a nap but I was getting us to the grocery store no matter what! Getting ready with a newborn and a toddler and their constant needs (interruptions) is an art I have yet to master.
I am far behind on blog postings. I have about four really cute ones pending. Too many photos and too little time for blogging . . .
i do recall a post in which you were talking about the germ infested carts :o)
ReplyDeleteLove it when they can fall asleep anywhere! Sometimes though, it can be not so good when it's time to wake them up!
He looks strangely peaceful for sleeping on plastic and metal! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGetting out of the house gets easier-- most days! I find it helps when we're actually on a schedule. Knowing story hour is at 11:00 is a good motivator and keeps us on track, but having a vague plan of running errangs inevitably means it takes ages to get out the door!
