John's Early Birthday

John will turn two years old in a few days, so he opened birthday gifts from his visiting grandparents and godparents after Mary's baptism. The last time he opened gifts was Christmas 2007 when he was only 13 months old and both didn't understand and was very slow at tearing off the paper. This time, he understood what to do!



John is having a lot of fun with the train his grandparents gave him, even if it has turned out to be a bit advanced for him: his favorite activities are turning on the train engine, but then forcing it to drive backwards, and dismantling the tracks, using the segments to bang things ("hammer! bang! hammer! bang!"), then crying for my help because he can't drive the train on the dismantled tracks nor put the tracks together himself.
