Fundraiser Evening Out

Tonight Chris and I left John with a babysitter to attend the annual fundraiser for A Room at the Inn, a local home for unwed mothers. It was a heartwarming evening and a professionally presented event as well. Last year, the abortion rate in our state dropped by more than a thousand babies, 92% of which were in the county where A Room at the Inn is located, thanks in large part to the organization's support of these desperate women. The keynote speaker tonight was Carole Everett, a former abortion consumer and provider, now pro-life activist. Her speech was powerful to say the least.

John had a great time with his babysitter. We were gone four hours, and the time went beyond John's bedtime, so I began feeling twinges of anxiety in the last half hour or so. The babysitter said that John began asking for me about five minutes before we got home and he was standing at the picture window by the driveway when we pulled in--thankyouverymuch!

  1. What a GREAT organization! That's wonderful! I am so glad you could attend and that John had a wonderful time with his babysitter.

You look terrific! I LOVE that sweater! I have it in pale blue...it was a staple for me last year. :) Now I wish I had ordered it in white. Email me if you want to borrow it (although, I think I am at least a size larger than you.
