Happy Birthday to Katherine

Well, today is my birthday, one day after my dad's. We went up to Greenville last night to look at rental properties and just generally get a change of scenery for my birthday. With only one kid to bring along, staying at a hotel is still really fun for me, especially when it's paid for by free points earned through Chris' frequent business travel!

After lunch (I had the best goat cheese pizza), we stopped in a chocolatier's shop in downtown Greenville and bought some fabulous handmade sweet treats.

    My friend Maggie's son was born the day before her birthday. I think that's pretty neat :-)

    The goat cheese pizza sounds YUMMY! I LOVE goat cheese!!!!!

    It's nice how John is getting big enough to be a pleasant companion rather than a baby who is constantly demanding and needy. Can you imagine taking this trip on your last birthday? :-)

    I'm glad you had such a great birthday. Your precious John is such a beautiful boy---I love all of the pictures you take. I think my favorites, though, are the ones where he has the "serious" look like the one in which he is reading his wildlife magazine. What a face!!! Just beautiful!
