No photos!
Sorry, but I forgot to take any photos today, including when I went to a lovely breakfast after Mass with my friend and maid of honor Amy and her new boyfriend.
I received an alarming phone call from my husband today. He reported that his bureau seems to be broken! This was confusing to me because this is a sturdy, expensive piece of furniture he purchased when still a bachelor. How is it broken?, I asked. Well, normally he opens the drawers every day and finds clean clothing inside. Takes some clothing out, closes the drawer, walks away, comes back, there's more clean clothing inside. Recently, however, no newly cleaned laundry has been appearing in the drawers! A couple of the drawers are now nearly empty and he can see the wooden insides. What to do, what to do . . . . Surely there must be some kind of specialist he can call.
Gosh, your hubby has such a delightful sense of humor. I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteooo...Amy has a boyfriend? How exciting! I want the scoop! (I guess I can get it from her, though, -- go straight to the source, you know?)
ReplyDeleteBut if you talk to her before I do, you can tell her of my excitement and best wishes!
Katherine,
ReplyDeleteIf you break this message down you can see that your husband is using humor as a way of saying that he loves you and misses you and that he appreciates all the many things you do for him on a daily basis.
He is a very sweet man.
Dear Mr. Perkins:
ReplyDeleteYes, I did understand my husband's imploring phone call in the way you describe. He is indeed a sweet guy.
Sincerely,
Mrs. L---
