His First Molar!

I think I just solved the mystery of why John's sleep has been horrible the last three nights with waking almost every hour plus staying awake for an hour around 1:00 a.m.: his first molar has erupted! John rarely lets me inspect his gums, but tonight he let me feel all of them thoroughly. I am almost sure that his lower right first molar has fully erupted before his lower right incisor and cuspid, leaving quite a gap. That must have hurt like the dickens! John has not been exhibiting classic teething behavior during the day times, so this one sneaked up on me.
