New Fall Romper

I can't believe that John is such a big boy that I can sit him down by himself on the hard brick steps (where he could bonk his head!) and he does fine. (To my friend Elaine: Surely this adorable fall outfit makes even you see the sweetness of a boy's romper . . .)

Today I visited my friend Marina and her daughter Masha, who is three weeks older than John:

John spends several sessions daily sitting quietly, picking at my Ergo backpack. Not only is the Ergo practical for carrying a baby, but for entertaining one too.

What's Cookin'? Slow-cooker pork chop, alphabet soup, and curried macaroni and cheese. John liked the curry flavor! (I think the alphabet soup is a fantastic way to disguise vegetables for reluctant kids [or adults], especially because the recipe I made called for fresh vegetables; many alphabet soup recipes call for a bottle of V8-type juice instead.)
