John was fascinated with one of the latches on top and repeatedly picked at it, trying to unlock the gate, although he's never witnessed us put the gate in place so he hasn't seen how it works. I think that this boy may have an engineering mind.

Discovery of the Second Baby Gate
John has finally become intrepid enough an explorer to repeatedly venture across the wood floor of the kitchen-dining area. He passed my desk today to find the second baby gate that blocks him from the dining room.
John was fascinated with one of the latches on top and repeatedly picked at it, trying to unlock the gate, although he's never witnessed us put the gate in place so he hasn't seen how it works. I think that this boy may have an engineering mind.
