Note to self: Perhaps it is better to skip the morning walk when it is already 85 degrees by 8:30 a.m. and it is trash day (this leads to stinky aromas along the entire neighborhood route).
Also on this morning's walk, the buzzing sound of cicadas was thick in the air and big dead bugs littered my path.
Here is John, my engineering boy, examining the new baby latches on the armoire . . .
. . . and caught seconds after he'd spent a couple of minutes picking at the buckles that affix his booster seat to the chair.
John enjoying mashed sweet potatoes:
In an echo of an earlier event, as I was updating this very blog, Chris and John were playing and John stood alone without holding on to anything for three seconds. Of course, I didn't see it or hear about it until John was done! I suppose it is
only fair that Daddy gets to witness some firsts when I get to see so many of them during the day while Daddy works.
OK it seems that John is on the same path as Liam... he stood unassisted at 9 months as well... and um, well... he is an active and exuberant boy. have fuuuuuun!!!
