Today at the pediatrician's, John weighed in at 16 pounds 5 ounces (55th percentile).
My friend Gina asked that I post the recipe for Chicken Pot au Feu:
2 medium carrots, cut into 1/2" pieces
1 medium onion, halved
2 medium celery stalks, cut into 1" pieces
3 lb whole chicken
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp crushed bay leaves
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried thyme
4 medium potatoes
Place carrots, onion, celery, potatoes, and 1/2 cup water in slower cooker. Add whole chicken and top with remaining ingredients. Cover. Cook on low 8-10 hours or on high 3-1/2 to 5 hours. Remove and arrange on platter before serving. Makes 5 servings (320 calories each).

ReplyDelete55th percentile? There must be some roly obese babies out there if your chunk barely makes it into the top half!! no wonder my kids weren't on the chart!
